MAYFAIR, Fresno County — Residents of Mayfair should know that Fresno County expressly includes Mayfair among the unincorporated county islands eligible for some of its housing assistance initiatives.
The county Community Development Division manages programs intended to preserve affordable homes, assist qualifying low- and moderate-income households and improve existing housing conditions. The department’s eligibility list names Mayfair alongside other county islands within the Fresno and Clovis urban area, including Calwa, Easterby, Fig Garden and Sunnyside.
Eligibility is not automatic. Some options are limited by property location, ownership, income, housing condition and available funding. A general county program webpage is not a guarantee that applications are open for every form of assistance at this moment.
What local families and residents should know
Homeowners and renters should check the program descriptions and application windows on the official county website. Those considering major repairs should ask about current funding, inspection requirements and whether a loan or grant is being offered before signing documents or paying a third party.
